P1Harmony's Unique

UNIQUE took a couple listens for me to fully connect with, but once I listened to it while driving and running, everything clicked into place. This album feels bold, energetic, and made for movement. It mixes a lot of different sounds together, but somehow still keeps that confident P1Harmony energy the whole way through.

“Wednesday Girl” and “Triple 7” were my biggest standouts, especially Keeho’s vocals in the second chorus of “Wednesday Girl” and Jongseob’s rap in the second verse of “Triple 7.” Those were the moments that stuck with me the most.

I struggled connecting the album to the group’s lore and overall concept, even after reading more into it. I honestly think the experimentation with different sounds works better here. The album feels more focused on energy and personality than emotional impact, and I think that works in its favor.

This album changed my opinion on newer groups. I generally have a harder time connecting with newer artists, but UNIQUE made me want to pay more attention to what newer generation groups are doing.

I'd give this album an overall score of 8/10.
